Local & State: 3 Lely students charged in plotBy the way, there were no, I repeat, NO explosives or weapons found. They were only plotting and they were caught talking about it. Shit, I'd still be in prison today for some of the things I said in high school.
Ok, so I hear some of you saying, but...what if they had gone through with it? Kids would have died, etc., etc. Again no weapons were found, nor did they have access to them. These kids are facing charges with sentencing for up to 15 years...and you know why? Because of the Patriot Act and the provision in it about conspiring to commit terroistic acts.
I still think things like this could be avoided, if the rest of this country would just wake up and smell the crap they've been stewing in, because a few out of 270 million Americans, does something bad and we have to go restricting everyone's rights. (I have better chances of winning the lottery!) dang it. Since I seem to be in one of the less fortunate minorities, (I's poor!), maybe I should take up a cause and see if I can change the world for better...any ideas? I don't wanna blow anything up, though that would have the most possibilities of becoming known...nah. I wanna do good.
